only a week has passed, and i think ive hit that point in the summer where i actually have to make a lot of effort to keep myself out of boredom. its the weekends that you look forward to while youre in school. now everyday is pretty much a weekend, so you lose that thursday or friday sense of anticipation. yesterday i resorted to finishing the matrix reloaded. i can understand why people call it garbage or disappointing, but i found the supposed confusing part interesting. at least the wachowski brothers attempted to drive the theme of self determination over destiny, that choice always exists. or am i just overreading this movie (i blame that life changing book east of eden). afterwards i watched the animatrix, a culmination of short films by different animators to provide some background information on the matrix itself. some of it reminded me of ghost in the shell (manga), where the author asks if we ever got to the point in technology where AI becomes so sophisticated, would it be able to turn on man itself? too much thinking for a summer evening.

time to go call john's pizza, its as if i didnt pass my drug test...
