ive gone back to my old tradition of watching asian drama movies by myself. last night was a rare occurrence- not only was my sister out until 1230 but my parents called me and said theyd be home late because they were scoping out the new indian casino aka tribal gaming charity center. no strip poker tonite so i occupied myself with the wonderfully titled "comrades, a love story". basically its about a man who leaves the chinese mainland to work in hongkong so that he can save up enough money for his girlfriend/fiancee to marry and live there. while seeking employment, a woman helps the cantonese defficient man find his away around hong kong and eventually they become the best of friends. from there you can guess the sort of conflict that arises. best hk movie ever. props to pedro and duoxie to mrs wong, who said id especially enjoy it.
