eat fresh
in the past week ive tried 3 different kinds of sandwiches, and one certainly tramples the others. subways okay. i used to regularly bring my business there. the first 10 times i could never understand what the worker was asking me when i was personalizing my delectable delight. the first thing theyd ask is "watkintofbredyawan". at least a few times id just instinctively say "yes", which resulted in the worker curling his or her eyebrows upward and repeating "watkintofbredyawan" in frustration. same deal for cheese. "whicheese?" "uhhh, all of them", but now i just stick with provologne. subways fairly healthy, but if im lazy enough to refuse the 10 minute walk ill just drive to quiznos. toasted subs, go figure. its not only that though, the types of vinagrette they use and the different variations of mayo deserve noteworthy praise. aside from being a little bit more expensive the workers here are similar to subways. no worries ive got veggie selection down to an art. after rejoicing over a either an absolute sucesss or an absolute failure on todays midterm "alvin" mentioned the new vietnamese restaurant downtown had sandwiches. i completely forgot how delicious my last vietnamese sandwich experience was at mays cafe. and the other davis vietnamese restaurants excuse for a sandwich was rather pathetic. bread and meat and soup. mmmnotbeefy. but this sandwich was absolutely delicious. tack on the dirt cheap price of 2.50 and youve got yourself one boy full of utils. service was okay-- personally i get annoyed when people fake their politeness. or maybe the waitress had a little crack. nonetheless, downtown davis vietnamese restaurant gets a thumbs up for lunch. nows my opportunity to test out bloggers new feature:
