i put the J in Jesus.
alvin messaged me notifying of a game night at leos place in tanglewood. oh ya, that sure proved to be quite a tangle. (insert elitist idiotic laughter). i didnt know the apartment number, and after several failed attempts at contacting leo i decided to just walk around the complex until i found a place that resembled something familiar. frustrated, i returned to the apartment only to receive a call back from the man. an old 86 chevy with two guys picked me up from the street corner in front of food mart. to the normal eye, itd look like i was a prostitute. HA, theyd see whod be paying who later that night. so we headed over to safeway for a quick beverage. just when we were within arms reach of the gatorade, two korean girls and a guy interrupted us.
"HI! were doing a scavenger hunt and we need some strangers to help us form a human period? could you pleeeeease help us out? well even give you some of these gummy worms!"
leo cowered, looking around cautiously as if hed never encountered anything that spontaneous before. alvin seemed focus on the gummy worms. and i thought to myself, "uhhhhh...you look like saehee." so we caved into their demands (i still know when to pick my battles), they took the picture and then thanked us. i complained to them saying poor alvin didnt get his gummy worms. they happily rewarded him. then a few seconds later they returned asking for one more favor.
"OKAY! we need just one more favor. we need to spell the word JESUS with a few strangers. so could you stand there and be the J, and you the E..."
once again the other guys looked hesitant. nothing random like this ever happens to me anymore, so i volunteered immediately.
somewhere out there, theres a picture with me flexing one of my arms, and raising the other as if im saluting hitler. thats right, draw a mental image in your head right now. some J i turned out to be.
as we waited at the checkout, i noticed one of them had the letters "KPC" on them. i silently congratulated myself with a whispered "yesss" after winning the bet id made to myself while checking one of the girls out earlier.
i wonder how alex kwok is doing?
its the spontaneous things that make life so interesting. if one spends too much time planning everything out, or looking forward (or down, for you pessimists) to things in the future, theyll wind up living the most mundane life. living in fear is inexcusable.
UPDATE: kev just sent me the funniest IM. blog worthy right there.
UCLA Seeto K (11:58:07 PM): ur xanga demonstrates how guys bend to the demands of korean girls
UCLA Seeto K (11:58:36 PM): in all of their unfairly given attractiveness
